Dream start for the new Deutsches Museum: Around 30,000 people came to the Museum Island for the opening weekend from July 8 to 10, 2022. On Friday, the museum opened the new part of the building to the public with its 19 new permanent exhibitions on an area of around 20,000 square meters. There was a big party on Museum Island with hands-on stations for children, live music, the spectacular show of a slackliner, the giant figures of the "Transformers" and much more.
